Scentventure Terms & Conditions
1. Cancellations: 72 hours’ notice is required. Charges may be applied (for up to the entire course) if the required notice period is not given.
2. We reserve the right to cancel the training (at any time and with immediate effect) if any dog/s under the programme do not respond well to the training (where the continuing of said training is deemed by us to constitute a risk).
3. We will apply personal judgement and cut a session short, if necessary, because of extreme weather conditions; including, but not limited to: excessive heat, torrential rain, thunderstorms and snow/ice. In such circumstances we will rearrange the session.
4. If your sessions are taking place at Dogwood (or a mix of both Dogwood and Bishopton Village Hall), please note that the venue is located in a rural setting amongst working farmland. Therefore the environment may not be suitable for all dogs due to the proximity gunshots and bird scarers. These are intermittent but if active on the day of your training and your dog is noise-sensitive we will rearrange the session.
If your sessions are taking place at Bishopton Village Hall, (or a mix of both Dogwood and Bishopton Village Hall), please note that the hall is located in a rural village. There can be horses passing through the village and the noise can sometimes be heard in the village hall. Therefore the environment may not be suitable for all dogs due to the noises coming from a typical rural village.
5. Although we cannot fully guarantee a 100% success rate with our training methods we have a high success rate with previous clients who follow and practice our methods consistently and in the long term.
6. Results are rarely instant and take commitment from the client to work with their dog over time.
7. Dogs must be always kept on lead unless you are invited to remove it. Failure to do so and any injury caused by your dog being out of control will be your full responsibility.
8. Group courses and stooge dogs: you will be responsible for keeping your dog a sufficient and safe distance from other dogs and your dog may be required to wear a muzzle during these sessions.
9. You will let us know in writing if you would prefer not to have your dog’s photos or success stories shared on social media.
10. You are happy to complete a feedback form if requested.
11. You agree to report/check in regularly about your dog’s progress via email or the messaging channel selected by your trainer, and to respond to any communication from us so that we can ensure you and your dog get the most benefit possible during our time together.
